International agreements for joint PhD thesis supervision
The university may enter bilateral agreements for joint supervision programmes with foreign universities, either as administration coordinators or host institution. The university may also enter framework agreements with foreign universities within which individual joint supervision agreements may subsequently be signed. Joint PhD thesis supervision can be agreed for doctoral students regularly enrolled in a PhD programme at one of the two partner universities. Doctoral students from foreign universities must possess the necessary qualifications for admission to a PhD programme in Italy. Joint supervision allows doctoral students to carry out their studies and research at each of the two participating universities.
